TV5 further strengthens its primetime block with the premiere of the much awaited mini-serye Nandito Ako, starring international singing sensation David Archuleta alongside TV5’s primetime princesses Jasmine Curtis Smith and Eula Caballero.

Nandito Ako tells the story of young love, its joys and pains as related by the endearing characters of Josh (David Archuleta), Anya (Jasmine Curtis Smith) and Holly (Eula Caballero). Josh Bradley is an international singer who holds his final leg of concerts in the Philippines. This venture is also a quest to find his real identity. He will meet Holly through one of the promotional activities of his concert. The innocent hearts will brew romance and will soon learn the ways of love. But love has its twists and turns and they’ll soon uncover realities that will change their hearts and minds. Anya, a boyish and carefree lass, is Holly’s best friend. With a twist of fate, will Josh fall for Anya instead?

Kanta Mo, Kwento Mo, KAPATID!!! KANTA PILIPINAS!

They are YouTube sensations whose videos garnered a million hits with their interpretations of current hits. They are not new to the scene either as they have released their self-titled debut album which produced the hits “Up, Up, Down, Down” and “Don’t Say You Love Me” and was also released in Indonesia and Thailand.

Dubbed as the “M2M of the Philippines” with their youthful and powerful voice, sisters Krissy and Ericka is back with their sophomore release entitled “Twelve: Fifty One”. I’m sure that they only use the best equipment when they are recording. I’m sure they use Shure studio headphones when they record their music.

It contains ten tracks which is a combination of their versions of current hits like Adele’s “Rolling In The Deep”, “That Should Be Me” by Justin Bieber, Katy Perry’s “Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)”, “Back To December” by Taylor Swift, Far East Movement’s “Rocketeer” (featuring The Lamars), “Love The Way You Lie 2 by Rihanna as well as original songs written by Krissy and Ericka like “Rewind” (featuring another YouTube sensation AJ Rafael), “In Your Arms”, the banner single “12:51”, and “Anything” (written and featuring international artist Marie Digby). “Twelve: Fifty One” also includes a bonus track, their version of the Eric Clapton hit “Change The World” which is also included in the MCA Music compilation album “90s Music Comes Alive”.

Krissy and Ericka embarked on shows in Southeast Asia this January as special guests of AJ Rafael. They were in Indonesia last January 13 at Hard Rock Café, Jakarta; Malaysia last January 14 at Bentley Auditorium, Kuala Lumpur; Singapore last January 16 at Drama Center Theatre  where they also appeared as guests in Channel News Asia’s “AM Live” and here in the Philippines last January 18 at the Music Museum.

Adding more glitter to their tour was the release of “Twelve: Fifty One” in Singapore and Malaysia the same week as that of the Philippines and soon in more countries in Southeast Asia.

“It is a big honor to be invited on those shows but it is more delightful to know that our album will be released across Southeast Asia,” Krissy said.

“So expect us to see more in the coming months,” Ericka said.

Hugo is a 2011 3D adventure drama film based on Brian Selznick’s novel The Invention of Hugo Cabret about a boy who lives alone in a Paris railway station and the enigmatic owner of a toy shop there. It is directed by Martin Scorsese and written by John Logan. It is a co-production of Graham King’s GK Films and Johnny Depp’s Infinitum Nihil. The film stars Asa Butterfield, Chloë Grace Moretz, Ben Kingsley, Sacha Baron Cohen, Ray Winstone, Emily Mortimer, Jude Law and Christopher Lee.
Hugo is Scorsese’s first film shot in 3D, of which the filmmaker remarked: “I found 3D to be really interesting, because the actors were more upfront emotionally. Their slightest move, their slightest intention is picked up much more precisely. The film was distributed by Paramount Pictures and released in the U.S. on 23 November 2011. The film has been nominated for 11 Academy Awards, making it the most nominated film of 2011, which include a Best Picture nomination and a Best Director nomination for Martin Scorsese. PLOT

In 1931, Hugo Cabret, a 12-year-old boy, lives with his father, a widowed, but kind and devoted master clockmaker in Paris. Hugo’s father takes him to see films and loves the films of Georges Méliès best of all. Hugo’s father is burned alive in a museum fire, and Hugo is taken away by his uncle, an alcoholic watchmaker who is responsible for maintaining the clocks in the railway station of Gare Montparnasse. His uncle teaches him to take care of the clocks, then disappears.

Hugo lives between the walls of the station, maintaining the clocks, stealing food and working on his father’s most ambitious project: repairing a broken automaton – a mechanical man who is supposed to write with a pen. Hugo steals mechanical parts in the station to repair the automaton, but he is caught by a toy store owner called Georges Mellies who takes Hugo’s notebook from him, with notes and drawings for fixing the automaton. The automaton is missing one part – a heart–shaped key. Convinced that the automaton contains a message from his father, Hugo goes to desperate lengths to fix the machine.

To recover the notebook somehow, he follows Georges to his house, and meets Isabelle, a girl close to his age and Georges’s goddaughter. She convinces him to not insist to get the notebook and go back home. At the next day, Georges takes some ashes to Hugo refering them as the notebook rests, but Isabelle informs him that the notebook was not burnt and he must talk straight to Georges. Then, Georges accepts him to work for him until he pays all the things he stole from him.

Hugo introduces Isabelle to the movies, which her godfather has never let her see (they sneak in a silent movie projection without buying a ticket), while she introduces Hugo to a bookstore where his owner first mistrusts Hugo. At first, Hugo is not trusting Isabelle and tries to leave her, but Isabelle turns out to have the key to the automaton when she tries to find Hugo and got trapped in the process. When they use the key to activate the automaton, it produces a drawing of a film scene Hugo remembers that his father refers it as the movie he loved more (Voyage to the Moon). They discover that the automaton was created by Isabelle’s godfather so they go back to try to get an explanation over this fact.

In Georges’s house while hiding from him, Isabelle and Hugo finds a secret cabinet and accidentally releases a lot of pictures and screen boards of Georges creations just in the moment Georges and his wife Jeanne discover them. Georges feels depressed over it and Hugo goes away. However, Hugo gets the book store owner friendship and he helps Hugo and Isabelle to search for a book in the library over the history of films and find that the book author, Rene Tabard refers Georges Mellies as dead in the World War I. When they try to understand the reason of this error, Monsieur Tabard appears and discuss over the fact of Georges is alive, until the kids discover that Rene is, in fact, a big fan of Georges films and he still owns a copy of Voyage to the Moon.

Hugo, Isabelle and Tabard, go to Georges home and after at first, not being well welcomed, Jeanne accepts to see Voyage to the Moon when she was referred as one of the actress that works with Georges and she feels delighted over it. While watching the film Georges appears and explains to all of them his life creating movies, inventing the special effects and how he lost faith in films when the World War I began, having being turned to sell his films in order to get money and getting the toy shop in order to survive. The only thing he never known what happened was over the automaton that he created to remember that glory days.

Then Hugo decides to go back to the station to retain the automaton, but when arriving he is cornered by the station’s police officer and his dog, and in the persecution he got trapped in the clocks so he decides to cling on the clock until they leave. When he got out of the clock with the automaton, he is trapped by the police officer, but the automaton is thrown to the railways. Hugo tries to save it but the train is almost hitting him. The police officer saves him and the automaton and proceeds to detain him, but then, Georges claims that Hugo is his kid.

Finally Georges is getting a tribute ceremony to his movies, some of them recovered and restored and after thanking Hugo for his actions, invite the audience to “follow his dreams”. Hugo became an apprentice of Georges and Isabelle decides to be a writer.
